Information we collect

When you submit an enquiry through our contact form or contact us directly, we collect the information you provide. This may include your name, email address, telephone number, company name, the service you are interested in, and your message and any subsequent correspondence.

Please provide only information relevant to your enquiry and avoid including sensitive personal information.

Our website hosting provider (GoDaddy) may also process technical information such as IP addresses, browser information and server logs to deliver and protect the website.

3

How and why we use your information

We use your information to respond to your enquiries and discuss your requirements; prepare proposals and take steps towards providing our services; communicate with you about an ongoing engagement; maintain the security and operation of our website and communications; and meet applicable legal obligations and handle complaints or legal claims where necessary.

We rely on the following lawful bases under UK data protection law:

Contract: Where processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract with you, or to perform that contract.

Legitimate interests: To respond to general business enquiries, communicate with people acting on behalf of business clients, and protect our website and business. We consider the impact on your rights when relying on these interests.

Legal obligation: Where we must process or retain information to comply with applicable law.

We do not use enquiry details to send newsletters or promotional email campaigns.

4

Who receives your information

Our website is hosted through GoDaddy. When you submit an enquiry, the submission is processed by GoDaddy's Inbox platform and delivered to our Microsoft 365 email account. GoDaddy processes this information as a data processor acting on our behalf.

GoDaddy retains form submission data in accordance with its own data retention policies. We do not operate a separate CRM system.

We may also share relevant information with professional advisers or public authorities where necessary for legal obligations, advice or legal claims.

We do not sell your personal information.

5

International processing

Our service providers, including GoDaddy and Microsoft, may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where this involves a restricted international transfer, UK data protection law requires an appropriate transfer mechanism, such as UK adequacy regulations or approved contractual safeguards.

You can contact us for information about the arrangements applicable to your information.

6

How long we keep your information

We retain enquiry information while responding to your request and while related discussions remain active.

If an enquiry does not lead to an engagement, we delete the enquiry and associated correspondence when it is closed and no further action is needed. We do not retain unsuccessful enquiries for future marketing.

If you become a client, relevant information is retained for the duration of the engagement and afterwards only as necessary for applicable accounting, tax or other legal requirements, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Copies held in provider backups or recovery systems, including GoDaddy's Inbox platform and Microsoft 365, may remain until they are removed under the provider's own retention cycle.

7

Protecting your information

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the information we handle to help protect it against unauthorised access, loss or misuse. No online service or email transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

8

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances and the lawful basis used, you may have the right to access your personal information; correct inaccurate or incomplete information; request deletion of your information; restrict how your information is used; object to processing based on legitimate interests; and receive or transfer information where the right to data portability applies.

To make a request, email hello@socia-london.co.uk. We normally respond within one month, subject to any extensions permitted by law.

9

Cookies and similar technologies

Our website uses the following technologies:

Strictly necessary: We use localStorage to store your cookie consent preference. This is essential to remember your choice and does not require your consent.

Analytics (consent required): Our hosting provider GoDaddy operates an analytics service (C2/SCC) that collects information about how visitors interact with our website, such as pages visited and links clicked. This service is provided by GoDaddy as part of the Airo platform. The analytics script loads as part of the platform but click-event collection is only activated if you accept analytics cookies. Your preference is stored in your browser's localStorage for up to 12 months.

We do not use advertising cookies, social media tracking pixels, or any other third-party tracking tools beyond those described above.

You can accept or decline analytics cookies using the banner that appears when you first visit the site. You can change your preference at any time using the 'Cookie preferences' link in the footer.
